    Tampa Friends held our Annual Meeting on June 3rd at the Castillo Condos at Westshore Yacht Club. Our featured musician was Andy Karr, Acting Principal Horn for TFO. We learned many interesting things about the history of the horn and enjoyed delicious desserts catered by our wonderful Social Committee.

    Tampa Friends held a fabulous fundraiser at the Steinway Gallery on May 13th. Our featured musician was Grigorios Zamparas, Professor of Music at the University of Tampa and an International Concert Pianist.

    Harmony Across the Bay 2026

    Harmony Across the Bay 2026, a joint fundraising luncheon held each
    year, was hosted by the Northsuncoast Associates in conjunction with the
    St. Pete Guild and Tampa Friends, on January 15 at the Safety Harbor
    Resort and Spa. This year our Musical entertainment was Bonnie (violin)
    and Dominic (Jazz Guitar) Walker.

    Tampa Friends enjoyed a fun Holiday Party at the Steinway Showroom on December 4th. Fabulous food from Magnolia Caterers, Christmas Market Gluhwein and the singing of Christmas carols were some of the highlights of the evening.

    Tampa Friends Tune Up 2025

    Tampa Friends held our Tune Up for the upcoming TFO season on Sep 10 at the Bellamy on Bayshore. We were honored to have Resident Conductor Chelsea Gallo as our guest, plus Erik Shinn, TFO’s VP of Orchestra Operations & Artistic Planning and Samantha Wright, Board Liaison.     Tampa Friends held their Annual Meeting on June 4 at Monte Carlo Towers. Our speaker was Michelle Kim-Painter, VP Education and Community Impact for TFO. We also honored our retiring TFO Liaison, Ken Kwo as well as Sam Saporta, who is stepping down from the Tampa Friend’s Board.
  • TFO’s Bucket Brigade

    TFO’s Bucket Brigade

    Tampa Friends’ members participated in TFO’s Bucket Brigade to collect donations at River Tower Park on Saturday, May 31st. A huge audience attended to enjoy the orchestra with Chelsea Gallo,TFO’s Resident Conductor. For one selection, she turned the baton over to Victor Minke Huls, Associate Principal Cello, for his conducting debut.
